New Leaked Track – Kylie Minogue “Go Hard Or Go Home” (D/L)

Hey guys! The German B-side to Kylie's Physical "All The Lovers" single has leaked in full. It's a decent song, which is a bit let down by the ultra-bubblegum chorus. It's almost something you'd expect Aqua to release, and if they did it would be great, and quite fitting, but for 42 year old Kylie, it seems a bit beneath her? I'm certainly not saying that an artist should be limited to certain styles and musical maturity due to their age, but in terms of her image, it's really appropriate as a B-side.
The song starts off really nicely, and the entire song is pretty good, but it does seem like two extremes and mashed together into the single song. It seems so stripper down and relaxed in the verses, but then as soon as the bridge and the chorus come along, it's fast-paced pure pop. I feel that Kylie's vocals have been recorded in a pitch that's just way too high and sounds unnatural, nevertheless it's a good song to hide somewhere in your library!

Ok so for all those Kylie fans out there, you're in luck! The great woman herself did a "mini-megamix" performance/playback in a club in New York for her fans the other day, and whilst the tunes sounded fantastic, the screaming was fairly taxing on the ears.
Fear not! Some smart little person decided to leak this megamix in studio quality, most likely her record label (who have been very internet savvy with this campaign)
So basically for those who were wondering, the songs on this are "Get Out Of My Way" (which the writer claims Britney's label Jive 'begged' for, something which is likely untrue, but nonetheless the song is AMAZING) Then we have "Cupid Boy", which is O K, nothing special in my opinion. "Too Much" co-written with Jake Shears of the scissor sisters, is followed by "Put Your Hands Up" and then we get a taste of the title track "Aphrodite" to finish it off.

New Music Video – Kylie Minogue “All The Lovers” (Must See!)
I'll be quick, what a fantastic video, it does everything that the song was begging for. Superb! This is without a doubt one of Kylie's best videos. Not to mention that she also looks stunning for a woman of her age. Leave comments below!
Single Premiere – Kylie Minogue “All The Lovers” (FULL HQ AUDIO)
So Kylie is returning with her first album since 2007 (Her tenth album, titled X) and it's called "Aphrodite", the first single from which is "All The Lovers". This new song sounds like a really interesting and quite simply beautiful track.
Whilst this is getting a release in the US, I don't see it charting there, at all, so I hope she doesn't bother with that. However it will most likely, and inevitably score a number 1 debut in Australia and the United Kingdom, with a hugely positive reaction from fans and the media alike.
EDIT! I have updated this with the full HQ version of the song, it was uploaded by her record label Parlophone minutes after her radio premiere.I don't get why they're waiting over a month to release this? Music has changed.
P.S The music video looks great and it has been filmed, it was directed by Joseph Kahn who has done videos for Britney, Gwen, Gaga, etc. the list goes on, he's not too bad. Stay tuned for the video!
Updated – New Britney Spears Single “3″ (29th September)
After an initial pushback from the originally rumoured release date of 21st of September, as reported on Jaw Music over two weeks ago, there will be a worldwide simultaneous radio release of Britney Spears' new single titled "3".
This single will be lifted from her upcoming release, titled 'The Singles Collection" which will be released in two formats. The standard format will be a 18 track collection, including her biggest singles, and the new song titled "3", but there will also be a deluxe edition, which instead of the conventional extra track or two, it will be a completely different kind of release.
The deluxe edition will be a box set, created especially for her devoted fans, with copies of all 29 of her singles, individually packaged with additional b-sides and remixes for each disc, including a dvd of all her music videos from Gimme More to Lucky.
However, back to the single, it will premiere on Tuesday in the United States, and worldwide within the hour. This release has been handled very well, no leaking of any details has taken place, which will ensure that this single will chart extremely highly and possibly get Britney her "3rd" number 1 hit in the United States. The track was recently recorded by Britney in Europe and produced by Max Martin. Britney is likely to be adding this song with a dance that corresponds to the upcoming music video by her show in Las Vegas on the 26th of September.

Spotlight – Jessica Mauboy “Runnin”

Jessica Mauboys Platinum Debut album "Been Waiting" has so far spawned 4 singles with one of then reaching the top spot on the Australian Aria Charts. Her Lead single went double platinum, almost eclipsing Lady Gaga's introduction to Australia, and the second single went number 1 and achieved platinum status. By Now Australia has fallen in love with this talented young woman, and the music she is releasing is of an international standard and would fare extremely well in the American market, of which there are currently rumours of.
The B-side "Runnin" which was featured on her number 1 single "Burn" is an impeccable rnb masterpiece,has a suave and sexy electronic beat, in the vein of Kylie Minogue’s seductive single “Slow” (No coincedence considering the producers of the song worked with Kylie herself), alongside Mauboy’s distinct and strong vocals.
I personally think the fact that this woman has such amazing b-sides is a great indication of the incredible energy behind her career at the moment, she is constantly promoting and performing. I am will be extremely curious to find out the sound of her sophmore album as I am convinced that this woman is incredibly talented and has a great future on an international spectrum. Jessica Mauboy is only 19 years of age currently, is of Aboriginal and Malaysian decent and is proud of her culture. She also was only 16 when she was a runner up in Australian idol, and has without a doubt been the most successful artist to come out of Australian idol, considering she intelligently took a few years break to come out with a solo album.

Spotlight – Kylie Minogue “Carried Away”

For This Weeks "Spotlight" I will be writing about a b-side that was featured on Kylie Minogue's hit single "Wow" from her mess of an album "X". Wow was a fantastic song, that bowed to her past hits such as "Love At First Sight" but also looked to the future with a catchy hook "You've got it, Your Wow Wow Wow Wow" and some nice lyrics to boot.

However what was almost more of an incentive to buy the single than the actual song, was the two b-sides, which were perfectly suited to be on the single for Wow as they are similar in many ways, however they should have been singles themselves and featured on the album "X" as they would have been much more succesful than the songs on the album.
Carried Away holds a dreamy chorus, as Kylie sings "I'm carried away in your arms right now" , and a fast dancable pace. The song would have been almost the best lead single choice for the album "X", as it relates to her struggles with cancer, as she alludes in the lyrics "I feel it turning around", it encapsulates the excitement of recovering from Breast Cancer and making her debut back on the music scene.
This song is a Kylie Masterpiece and deserves a lot more attention than it got, it was not her fault that the album ended up so badly, the reason why X was a bad album was because there was too much hype and a horde of collaborations that in the end she almost had a collage of crap on a cd, with some fantastic songs hidden amongst the mess.
Carried Away could've been an incredible hit, more so than "2 Hearts" it's what people want from Kylie, it's undeniably her style. This song recieves a rating of four stars, it is a pop music masterpiece.

Natalie Bassingthwaighte "1000 Stars" New Single + Video Review

After a number 1 debut for her debut solo effort "1000 Stars", a platinum single "Alive", and a gold single "Someday Soon", Natalie is now releasing her third single from the album, the title track "1000 Stars".
This inspirational song, is set to top the charts, with a killer music video as well as a physical and digital release on May 2nd. Signed copies of the single "1000 Stars" are available for pre-order on JB Hifi currently, I highly reccomend this to anybody who enjoys the song, it will come with remixes, an acoustic version, and a new b-side from Natalie.

Enough of the technical crap! The music video is fantastic, it definetly stands out compared to her previous two videos which both had her with a Macy Gray Style wig, and fake tan to boot! Problem was it did not suit her one bit. However in this video we see a more natural Natalie, showcasing her beauty, on a beach.
1000 Stars The Album
Whilst this may sound benign, there are three different looks, in the first Natalie writhes in the sunlight on the beach in a way reminiscent of Kylie Minogue's "Slow" video, this is Natalie, without makeup or hairstyling, and she looks incredible. Then we diverge to her second look which is on the album art for the single, it's almost like they are trying to make her look extremely old and almost bald, it's very elegant, but at times it is too... antique.
Finally we see the dressed up Natalie in hot pants, she once again looks great, only problem is the timing of the vocals in the chorus at the end seems a little bit off.
Overall the video deserves a rating of 3 and a half stars, it needs either much brighter blue colours to match her album cover, or it needs a storyline. Either way a music video doesn't need a storyline but if that is overlooked then it is very important to make the video spectacular and captivating in terms of the colour and the editing, they just didn't perfect the colour.
